Jack McCormac brings his readers into the picture through the Sketching Detective series, where unpretentious artworks bring details to the adventures of the MacKay detectives, as they search for the truth behind two crisscross murders.
Browsing through the pages of a book, especially voluminous ones, could often seem so monotonous, making it a lot more difficult to finish. Breaking the barriers of monotony, Jack McCormac in Fetching Fiona and the Sketching Detective Solve the Crisscross Murders has once again included snips of quick, actual sketches that tend to include the reader in the adventure of the MacKay detectives.
The highlight of this seventh installment, however, is still the author’s gift of merging wit and mystery, as the book has consistently become light and entertaining and mind-tickling, at the same time. The relevance of each character unfolds perfectly as the story progresses, paving the way for the surprising resolution of the crisscross murders in Bonnie Glen.
