Dead body disguised to form part of the witch contest shocks Jack MacKay and leads him into the search for the truth behind such death, together with the assistance of his fetching wife, Fiona.
Narrated through the point of view of the husband, a professor of civil engineering, various faces of their marriage is likewise presented in a fun-loving way, as they go through different challenges in order to get to the bottom of the truth. Fiona’s powers of observation comes just in handy that even her husband could not get away from it. More of the couple and their misadventures are delved into as the story progresses from curious to climactic.
